October grants have been awarded! Thanks to the generous donors and OYH board members, we were able to award over $62,000 in funds this month to Minnesota crisis service agencies in need!


Avenues for Youth
$7,000 | Minneapolis, MN
To purchase a new double-door freezer and two commercial washers and dryers to help reduce food waste and to provide a clean and dignified living environment.

Bi-County Community Action Programs, Inc.
$10,000 | Bemidji, MN
For vital repairs to current roof and wall structures to allow BICAP’s transitional housing units to remain available for homeless families to stay at.

Bridgepointe Community Church Food Shelf
$3,000 | Moorhead, MN
For a new commercial cooler and freezer to be able to accept more food donations and provide more food to those in need.

Community Emergency Service, Inc. (CES)
$6,820 | Minneapolis, MN
To purchase a new high efficiency freezer to double food shelf capacity and distribute healthy and culturally appropriate foods to those in need.

Face to Face Health and Counseling Services
$2,297 | St. Paul, MN
To purchase essential items and equipment to create a new storage space to expand their food pantry and provide access to more food for youth experiencing homelessness.

Keystone Community Services
$5,100 | St. Paul, MN
To purchase a new refrigerator and two pallet jacks to increase mobile food shelf distributions and build mobile infrastructure for long-term access to emergency food throughout Ramsey County.

Stepping Stone Emergency Housing
$1,350 | Anoka, MN
To purchase a commercial refrigerator to ensure that safe and healthy food is available for individuals experiencing hunger and homelessness.

To purchase street outreach supplies to provide to youth experiencing homelessness to ensure that they are staying warm, hydrated, and nourished during the winter months.

To help purchase an electric pallet jack to store, transport, and distribute more food more efficiently to individuals and families facing food insecurity.

To purchase a two-door glass freezer for additional food storage and to be able to properly store and display frozen food options.

YouthWay Ministries

To purchase a walk-in refrigerator to be able to distribute more food to those in need and decrease food spoilage.
