Evergreen Youth and Family Services recently received a $3,000 grant from Open Your Heart to the Hungry and Homeless. The funding will provide Evergreen Youth and Family Services with new school supplies, such as backpacks, gym shoes, clothing and funding for activity and transportation costs.
Evergreen Youth and Family Services is a community-based organization committed to strengthening youth and preserving families with an emphasis on those living in northern Minnesota, a press release said.
Each year, Open Your Heart supports more than 200 homeless shelters and food shelves like Evergreen Youth and Family Services throughout Minnesota.
