Open Your Heart recently funded Advocates for Family Peace (AFFP) with two new refrigerators for their emergency safe housing apartment unit.
AFFP provides community advocacy, including safe housing options for intimate partner violence survivors/victims and their children. For those entering their domestic violence safe housing program, it’s often a time of mixed emotions, high anxiety, and fear of the unknown. Providing the safest, most comfortable home setting is incredibly important. The goal is for survivors/victims to feel valued, respected, and supported.
