Happy Monday! Today’s Grantee Monday is about one of our recent COVID-19 Response grantees, Ain Dah Yung Center! Open Your Heart provided Ain Dah Yung Center with funding to help keep street outreach workers safe while they perform vital health checks and crisis intervention with youth experiencing homelessness.

Ain Dah Yung means “Our Home” in Ojibwe, and the mission of Ain Dah Yung Center (ADYC) is to provide a healing place within the community for American Indian youth and families to thrive in safety and wholeness. ADYC was one of the first programs in the Twin Cities to provide culturally relevant services to a community of color. ADYC currently has staff on the frontlines 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to make sure homeless Native American youth ages 5 to 24 have everything they need to find safety and wholeness during this difficult time. While they have implemented a limited staffing model, ADYC still has over 30 staff on the ground day in and day out providing these vital services. Thank you Ain Dah Yung Center for all that you do for youth experiencing homelessness.
