Open Your Heart provided The Bountiful Basket Food Shelf with funding to help their food shelf budget stay stable while more aggressively helping with hunger relief efforts during this time of crisis.
The Bountiful Basket Food Shelf has recently expanded its food assistance outreach effort into more of a mobile food shelf model. COVID-19 has only increased the needs for additional food support for these programs In a typical 12 month period the Bountiful Basket Food Shelf distributes over 300,000 lbs. of food. All of the 15,000 individuals served are neighbors and fellow community members who live in Eastern Carver County.
