With support from our generous donors, Open Your Heart provided Bridges of Hope with funding in support of Bridges of Hope’s low-barrier emergency warming shelter, providing a much needed, short-term emergency housing solution for adults experiencing homelessness in the Brainerd Lakes area. Bridges of Hope is a faith-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, incorporated in 2002. Their
service area includes Crow Wing County and the bordering communities in Central Minnesota. Bridges of Hope, in partnership with law enforcement, Crow Wing County, nonprofit organizations, church partners, and community members recognized the need for a safe place for homeless adults (ages 18+) to sleep in their community. This group has come together in a collaborative effort to address homelessness by providing a low-barrier warming shelter that will offer a safe place for individuals to rest for the night
