Open Your Heart provided FreedomWorks with funding toward the Pantry Saver software and much-needed hygiene items. Since opening to the community, FreedomWorks has seen the number of households served double from one month to the next. A more efficient software database will help FreedomWorks keep up with this rapid rate of growth.
The FreedomWorks Food Shelf is open every other Wednesday from 5 pm – 7 pm. They are always looking for volunteers on the days of the outreach. They are also looking for volunteers to start hygiene or diaper drives with neighborhoods, families or churches and help collect supplies they cannot find resources for. If you would like to be added to their weekly email that shares volunteer activities and needs, please email [email protected].
FreedomWorks is also looking for other ministries that would like to come and share resources that are available to the community. If you have something to offer the community, you are welcome to come during outreach and speak with people. Please reach out to [email protected] for more information.
