With support from our generous donors, Open Your Heart provided Merrick with funding towards an Electric Power Pallet Jack. Merrick Community Services is located on the East Side of Saint Paul and supports individuals and families to navigate life transitions, find health and stability, and promote independence. They have four core services areas: Food Shelves, Meals-on-Wheels and Senior Independence Services, Family Stabilization Services, and Employment/Career Services. “We are grateful for the support of Open Your Heart to the Hungry and Homeless as it has allowed us to purchase an Electric Pallet Jack for our Arcade Food Shelf Location. Our food shelves distribute over 620,000 pounds of food and serve over 9,000 individuals (3,500 households) on an annual basis. This equipment allows us to work in our space more safely and efficiently, thereby strengthening our participant services.” Interested in knowing more or volunteering?
