Open Your Heart is proud to highlight our grant partner, Minneapolis College. Through this collaboration, Open Your Heart provides scholarships to students who are currently experiencing or have faced homelessness within the past two years. These funds can be used for educational or living expenses, covering whatever the students deem necessary to ensure they do not have to interrupt their studies due to unforeseen financial hardships.

Open Your Heart believes that the benefits of this scholarship are twofold. In addition to filling high demand jobs, it offers students a genuine and permanent escape from homelessness. In the 2023-24 academic year, scholarships were awarded to ten students, primarily justice-impacted individuals. Despite their hardships, these students maintained enrollment in at least nine credits, making their achievements and the support provided by these scholarships all the more significant.
