Minnesota Engagement on Shelter and Housing (MESH)

Happy Monday! Today’s Grantee Monday is about one of our 2019 Senior Homelessness grant recipients, Minnesota Engagement on Shelter and Housing (MESH)! Open Your Heart provided MESH with funding for state-wide trainings that will build capacity and expertise of homeless service providers in MN to better assess, care for, and deliver services to senior citizens experiencing homelessness.

MESH was started by a formerly homeless man, Greg Horan. Greg convened county, state, HUD, and nonprofit partners in 2000 to form MESH to address the systemic causes of homelessness with an initial focus on just the Twin Cities metro area. Over time, MESH’s scope has expanded to support statewide and Greater Minnesota initiatives. Thank you Minnesota Engagement on Shelter and Housing for all that you do for Minnesotans experiencing homelessness and service providers across the state.
