Michael Valesano, Director  TREC program

The TREC program offers college degree programs at no cost inside MN Correctional Facilities with high touch academic, financial and student services. For those recently released, they provide reentry services including advising, scholarships, mentoring, basic needs, and assistance in finding housing and employment. The TREC Center is a welcoming and dedicated space for justice-impacted students to connect with staff, students and allies, access reentry resources and participate in regular restorative activities. In 2023-24, the TREC program enrolled over 300 incarcerated and justice-impacted students.

THank you!
